So Simple: Renovating Your Bathroom and Shower with Slate-Lite

1. Check the substrate

The surface must be solid, load-bearing, dry, and clean. Existing tiles can remain in place if they are firmly bonded.

2. Prepare the surface

Level out uneven areas, open grout joints, or damaged spots. In showers and wet areas, professionally waterproof the substrate.

3. Cut Slate-Lite to size

Cut the panels to the required dimensions and neatly adapt openings for fixtures, drains, or niches.

4. Bond the panels

Apply the suitable adhesive evenly, position Slate-Lite, press it down across the full surface, and align it carefully.

5. Seal connections

Properly seal corners, transitions, wall connections, and penetrations. Visible edges can be finished with profiles.

6. Protect the surface

For bathrooms and showers, we recommend a suitable impregnation or sealer to protect against water, care products, and daily use.

The result: a fast bathroom renovation with real natural stone — low-joint, clean, and with significantly less effort than a traditional tile renovation.
